Finally got my kids off Fortnite and honestly I feel like a hero
After months of pushing back on unlimited Fortnite, I set a hard boundary. No more than an hour on school days, none at all until homework is done. First week was rough, lots of complaining and whining. But now in week two something interesting happened, my kids are actually playing outside again. My oldest said yesterday he forgot how fun it was to ride his bike. I'm not anti-gaming but man it was wild how quickly they got sucked in. Just wanted to share in case any of you are struggling with this. It's possible to pull them back.
One hour on school days, none until homework is done - that's the formula right there. Kids push back hard on this stuff but you're doing the right thing. How long did it take before they accepted the new rules?
