Found inappropriate videos in my 10yo's watch history

Not going to specify what but definitely not something he should be seeing. Had to have a really awkward talk with him about it. He was embarrassed, I was mad initially but trying to stay calm. Now I'm torn between monitoring everything he does (which feels invasive) and trusting him to make good choices. Set up some parental controls but feel like I'm playing whack a mole. How do other dads navigate this?

This is exactly why I've been pushing for better parental controls on our devices. Kids stumble onto this stuff way too easily, and I get that it's awkward but you did the parent thing by addressing it directly instead of pretending it didn't happen.

That's such a tough spot man, but honestly you handled it right by having the talk. My 9yo found some stuff once too and I was mortified, but getting ahead of it beats ignoring it. The embarrassment actually helps them understand boundaries better.
