Gaming addiction is out of control

My 16 year old plays Fortnite from the second he gets home from school until bedtime. His grades are dropping, he ignores his responsibilities, and when I ask him to get off he gets angry. I tried taking the console away but he just plays on his phone now. This feels bigger than just gaming. Should I be worried about actual addiction here?

I get it. My kids are the same age range and Fortnite is basically a religion. The grades dropping is the real problem though, not the game itself. Might need to tie gaming time to homework and responsibilities getting done first.
