Gaming has gotten out of hand
My 13 year old is playing Fortnite until midnight on school nights. I took the controller away yesterday and he lost it on me. Said I'm the only parent who won't let him play with his friends. I don't want to be the bad guy but his grades are slipping and he's tired all the time. How do you actually enforce limits with a teenager? Does parental control software actually work or do they find ways around it?
That's a tough situation but you're doing the right thing setting boundaries. Losing it on you is actually normal 13 year old behavior when limits get enforced. Stay firm and maybe work together on a compromise that still respects school.
