Gaming is actually bringing us closer
Started playing Minecraft with my 11 year old son and honestly it's become our thing. We build stuff together, he tells me about his day while we're playing, and he's teaching me about gaming which makes him feel cool. My wife thinks I should be making him go outside more but honestly this has been better than fighting about screen time. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just rationalizing it though. Anyone else use gaming as bonding time?
My kids are teenagers now and I'm realizing the games were actually a great way to stay connected when they didn't want to just sit and talk. Minecraft with your son sounds perfect.
