Gaming together changed our relationship
So I was totally anti-gaming for years. Thought it was all just mindless junk that rotted your brain. My 12 year old kept asking me to play Minecraft with him and I kept saying no. One Saturday I was sick and bored so I finally sat down with him to see what the big deal was. Now we play together like 4 nights a week. We're building this whole castle thing and honestly it's become our thing. He talks to me about stuff while we're playing that he never used to tell me. Not saying video games are perfect but this has been really good for us.
This makes me feel better about my gaming time. I've been feeling guilty about how much I play with my kids but reading this reminds me it's actually quality time. We're laughing together and solving problems as a team.
