How much screen time is actually ok for a 4 year old?

We let our son watch about 90 minutes of cartoons a day while we're trying to get dinner ready or handle work stuff from home. We feel a little guilty but honestly it's the only way we can function some days. Is this too much? What's everyone else doing? I feel like there's no good answers online just judgment.

90 minutes is totally reasonable, especially when you're juggling work and dinner. Every family's different and honestly that sounds pretty balanced to me. Don't beat yourself up about it.

A hour and a half while you're handling real stuff at home is fine. My kid watches cartoons while I'm cooking all the time and he's doing great. The guilt is usually worse than the actual screen time.
