How much screen time is actually okay?

My 6 year old wants to watch youtube all day and my wife and I keep fighting about limits. I think 1 hour a day is reasonable but some days she gets 2 or 3 because we're tired and it buys us peace. Feeling like a bad parent about it. What do other people actually do? Not what you're supposed to do, but what do you actually let happen?

One hour sounds reasonable to me, but consistency is everything. If it's sometimes two hours some days that just teaches her to push for more, you know?

The fighting about it is probably the harder part than the actual limit. My wife and I went back and forth on this too until we just sat down and agreed on a number together first.
