How much screen time is actually reasonable for a 6yo?

Trying to figure out if 45 minutes of iPad before bed is reasonable on school nights. He's been good with chores and homework, and honestly when he's on there I can actually cook dinner without him asking for snacks every 30 seconds. What's the consensus here? Feel like I'm failing but also like I'm surviving.
