iPad as babysitter while cooking dinner - am I terrible?
Real talk, I have zero guilt anymore about letting my kids watch YouTube or play Roblox while I'm making dinner. It buys me a solid 45 minutes of peace to get a decent meal on the table. My wife sometimes gives me the look but honestly if it's not every single night and they're being productive the rest of the day I don't think it's the end of the world. Obviously we do family dinners and outdoor time but sometimes you gotta do what works.
You're not terrible at all. Feeding your family is not a crime. YouTube and Roblox for 30 minutes while you're cooking is completely reasonable parenting. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't tried making dinner with three kids screaming around their feet.
