Is 2 hours of Roblox on weekends too much for 8yo?

My son has been asking to play Roblox more and we finally let him on weekends only. He's limited to 2 hours total but honestly he loses track of time. Today he cried when I shut it down at 2 hours. I'm wondering if that's a normal reaction or if I'm being too strict. His grades are fine and he plays outside most days but those two hours he's glued to the screen.

Two hours seems reasonable to me, but the losing track of time thing is real. I set a timer on my phone that goes off at the halfway mark so my kids actually know what's coming. Helps with the meltdown prevention too.
