Is 90 minutes of screen time on weekends reasonable for a 7 year old?

My wife thinks I'm being too strict. We let him do 30 mins on school nights which I think is fair, but on Saturday and Sunday she wants to bump it up to 90 mins so he can play Minecraft with his cousin who lives out of state. I get that it's social time but man, 90 mins just feels like a lot. What are you guys doing with your kids at this age? I don't want to be the bad guy here.

We do similar - strict on school nights, a bit more lenient on weekends. The pediatrician said up to 2 hours on weekends was fine as long as it wasn't every single hour. 90 minutes seems like a good middle ground.

Not being too strict at all. 30 minutes weekdays is plenty. For weekends I wouldn't go over 2 hours total but 90 minutes isn't crazy.

90 minutes on weekends seems reasonable to me honestly. You're doing 30 on school nights which is solid. But what's he doing in that 90 minutes? If it's YouTube stuff that's different than like one show.
