Is Roblox actually that bad or am I being paranoid?
My 10 year old spends like 4 hours a day on Roblox when I let him and I'm genuinely unsure if I should be concerned. He's chatting with people I don't know, spending way too much virtual currency on cosmetics, and his grades are slipping. I've tried limiting it but he loses his mind. Other dads, what's your take on this game? Is it normal or should I pull the plug?
4 hours is definitely on the high side. I've been wrestling with this with all three of my kids. The thing that helped me was setting clear time limits and making sure there's other stuff they actually want to do. Roblox isn't inherently bad but it's designed to keep them hooked. Maybe try scaling it back gradually and see what happens.
