Is two hours of iPad time a day too much for a 6 year old?

My wife thinks I'm too strict with screen time. We've been doing about 2 hours total during the day, some in the morning and some after school. I feel like that's reasonable for a kid his age but she says other kids get more and he's missing out. He's still active, plays outside, does homework without issues. Am I being the paranoid dad here? What's your rule with screens?

Two hours feels reasonable to me, especially if it's spread out. My daughter's been on a volleyball team and that's kept her off screens naturally. Maybe find an activity he gets excited about instead of debating the hours?

I'd say you're in the ballpark. At 6, the quality matters more than the exact number. What's he watching or doing on the iPad? That might matter more than hitting a specific hour limit.
