Kids figured out my screen time limits

So my 11 year old found out how to request more time on their iPad and now my wife and I are getting notifications asking to extend it. They're being sneaky about it too, asking for "just 15 more minutes" right before bedtime so we're tired and say yes. Anyone else dealing with this? I'm thinking about switching to parental controls that don't let them request extensions but that feels harsh.

They're getting smarter every day aren't they? This is exactly why I had to stop using the basic settings. You might need to dig into the actual parental controls instead of relying on the app limits.
