My 6yo asks to watch YouTube instead of playing outside and I hate it
It's literally a beautiful day and she wants to watch some weird 45-minute Roblox speedrun video. I know she's only 6 and this is fairly normal but it drives me crazy. We have a park literally 5 minutes away. She has toys. I'm not trying to be the "screen bad, outside good" dad but also... yes I am and I'm frustrated that I have to fight about this constantly.
The algorithm on YouTube Kids is designed to be addictive. That's not her fault or a character flaw. Try replacing it with something else she likes doing outside.
