My 8yo is obsessed with Roblox and I'm losing my mind

Guys I need advice. My son comes home from school and immediately asks for Roblox. I set a 1 hour limit but he literally has a meltdown when time is up. I feel like the worst dad ever but I also need him off the screen so we can do homework and dinner. How do you guys handle this? I've heard of other kids on Roblox spending tons of money on robux too which freaks me out.

The meltdown thing is brutal. We used a sticker chart system and let our kids earn extra time instead of just getting it automatically. Made a huge difference in the tantrum department.

One hour is solid, honestly. My gut tells me he needs something else to do right after school before the Roblox urge hits. What if you guys built something together first, even just for 20 minutes?
