My 8yo just discovered YouTube and now I'm losing my mind

So my son found YouTube Kids last month and now he watches like 3 hours a day if I let him. At first I thought it was educational but he's just watching some guy open toy boxes over and over. I set screen time limits on his iPad but he figured out how to ask Alexa to disable them. Anyone else dealing with this? How do you actually enforce this stuff without being the bad guy all the time?
