My kid's gaming friend group is actually wholesome and I'm shocked

So my 12yo plays Minecraft with a regular squad and I was worried about the whole "talking to strangers online" thing. But honestly? He's been playing with the same 4-5 kids for like 8 months. I've actually talked to the parents of a couple of them now and they're just... normal people. Their kids are polite. They built this elaborate survival world together. I realized I was being weirdly anxious about nothing. Not saying let your guard down completely but sometimes kids just find decent people online lol.
