Our family no phones at dinner rule is changing everything
Started this 3 months ago and I'm shocked how much better family dinner is. No scrolling, no checking work emails, just talking. At first everyone was grumpy about it but now my 13 year old actually shares stuff about his day. We leave phones in a basket by the door during dinner. Takes 30 minutes and we're all present. Small change, huge impact. Highly recommend if your family is drowning in screens like mine was.
How strict are you about it? We tried this but it fell apart when the kids complained it was boring. What worked for you?
Three months in and you're seeing real results? That's impressive. I think dinner conversations have gotten way worse since we got these phones.
