POV: you actually unplugged your family for a week

Took the family to a cabin in Vermont last month with basically no WiFi and limited cell service. First two days were ROUGH - the kids were bored and restless. But by day 4-5? My 8yo was actually reading books (real books!) and my 12yo played board games and didn't complain once. We all slept better. Then we got home and he immediately went back to his phone for 3 hours straight. So like... the unplugging thing works? But also the moment you plug back in the old habits return instantly? Not sure what I learned here except that outdoor play is real and I should do it more often.
