Proud moment: kid deleted social media on his own

My 15 year old son asked me yesterday if we could delete his Instagram because it was making him anxious and he felt like he was comparing himself to everyone. I didn't push him to do it, we just talk about that stuff sometimes. But the fact that he recognized it himself and made the call really impressed me. Sometimes I think we parents get caught in the weeds worrying about controlling their tech when maybe the real win is teaching them to think critically about it. Just felt good to share.

This is huge. Your son basically did the hard work himself, which means you've taught him to listen to his own gut. That's way more valuable than any app on a phone.
