Question about parental controls on Nintendo Switch

Quick q - is there a way to limit online multiplayer time without blocking access to the console entirely? My 10yo has a habit of playing Mario Kart online for like 6 hours straight on weekends and I want to cap it at 2 hours but let him still access single player stuff. Looked at the parental controls app but it seems kinda clunky. Anyone figured this out?
