Roblox addiction is getting out of hand

My 10 year old is obsessed with Roblox. Every second he's not doing homework hes asking to play. We set limits but he found out he can use his tablet too so hes sneaking games in. Ive tried having the talk about moderation but it goes in one ear and out the other. Does anyone elses kid play Roblox constantly? I'm starting to wonder if I should just block it entirely but then he'll hate me.

10 is that age where they're glued to it. Have you tried understanding what he actually plays? Sometimes if you show interest in what they're doing it changes the dynamic. Also helps with setting reasonable boundaries instead of just saying no.

Yeah, Roblox is the new screen time battleground. My 11 year old is the same way. We ended up setting strict time limits and making sure it's only after homework and chores are done. It's a constant negotiation but at least there's structure now.

The key is replacing it with something else he actually enjoys. My oldest went through the same thing. Got him into soccer and suddenly Roblox wasn't as interesting. Needs to be something physical though, just trading screens won't work.
