My 9 year old spent $47 on Robux last week without asking. I thought I had purchase restrictions set up but apparently not. Now he wants to spend more money on skins and games. Is Roblox just designed to be a money pit for kids? Should I just block it entirely or is that too harsh?
This is why I'm terrified to let mine have any game with in app purchases. $47 though, that's brutal. Did you make him do chores to pay some of it back?
The purchase restrictions are buried in settings but you gotta require a password every single time. I learned this the hard way too.
Roblox is sneaky about this. They make it so easy to click purchase without realizing you're actually spending real money. Your son probably didn't even know it was happening.

Oh man, the Robux nightmare is real. I thought I had restrictions set too until my 8 year old dropped $35 on some emote. I was furious. Double check your settings because they hide them pretty well.
