Screen time battles are exhausting

My kids will literally argue with me for 45 minutes about why they need just 15 more minutes of tablet time. It's easier to just give in sometimes which I know I shouldn't do. How do you guys enforce limits without feeling like the bad guy all the time? We do an hour a day on school days but summer is killing me.

45 minutes of negotiation sounds about right. Mine will literally argue me in circles trying to find loopholes in the rules. At what point did you just shut it down?

We tried time limits and it was a nightmare. Then we switched to earning screen time through chores and that's been way better. Might be worth a shot?

The thing nobody tells you about being a dad is how much time you spend debating screen time with tiny lawyers. I feel this in my soul.

The arguing is the worst part honestly. I'd rather just say no one time than have that conversation over and over.
