Screen time rules that actually work
After months of chaos and battles, we finally set some boundaries that actually stick. No screens before 10 AM, max 1 hour on weekdays, 2 hours on weekends. We also do screens in the living room only so we can see what they're watching. It took like 3 weeks of the kids throwing fits but now it's just normal routine. Our 7 and 9 year old still complain sometimes but way less meltdowns. Just wanted to share in case anyone else is struggling with this.
This is exactly what we've been trying to nail down. What did you end up doing that actually stuck? We tried the no-screens-before-bed rule for like two weeks and then it fell apart.
