Got my 7yo an iPad Mini for school stuff and I've got Screen Time set up with pretty strict limits, app restrictions, etc. But I feel like I'm missing something. Is there anything else I should be doing? Anyone found workarounds their kids have used that I should be aware of? First time doing this so probably being paranoid but better safe than sorry I guess.
How strict is pretty strict? A lot of parents I know set limits that end up being too unrealistic and then the kid just sneaks around it.
Screen Time is good but you might want to also check the app-specific restrictions in Settings > Screen Time > App Limits. Makes sure they can't just delete the app and reinstall it.
One thing people miss is that Screen Time doesn't actually prevent them from asking you for more time. You might want to set expectations about what happens when they hit their limit.
Make sure you set a strong Screen Time passcode that your kid can't guess. They're smarter than we think these days.

Also consider turning off app store purchases and in-app purchases until they're older. Saves you from surprise charges on your credit card.
