Son figured out my Netflix password and is watching stuff he shouldn't

So my 10 year old somehow cracked my Netflix password and has been watching PG-13 movies when I'm not looking. Found out because he mentioned a scene from a movie I definitely didn't approve. How strict are you guys with content? I feel like at 10 he should be able to watch some stuff but I also don't want him seeing violence or anything crazy. Should I just make a kid profile or talk to him about it first?

Kids are way smarter about this stuff than we give them credit for. Change the password to something less obvious and set up parental controls. Also maybe talk to him about boundaries?

Oh man, that's a security nightmare waiting to happen. You gotta change that password immediately and maybe set up a separate kids profile with parental controls. PG-13 at 10 is one thing but you don't want him accidentally clicking into R rated stuff.

My ten year old tried the same thing with Netflix last year. I switched to a PIN-protected profile and it solved it. Also might be time to have a conversation about what's age appropriate though.
