The fortnite addiction is real
I set a 1-hour limit on Fortnite and you would think I told my 13yo he can never touch a screen again. The meltdowns are REAL. I get that he wants to play with his friends but I literally can't have him gaming all evening - he's got homework, sleep is important, and I need sanity.
Does it get easier as they get older or am I setting myself up for years of this? Also curious if anyone's found ways to make the transition off easier. Timers don't work. Warnings don't work. Just hits a wall of rage when I shut it down.
I feel this so hard. My 12yo acts like I just told him he's grounded forever when I cut him off. The thing is they WILL get over it and find other stuff to do if you hold the line
