Using parental controls - am I going too far?

I've got Screen Time set up on all the devices with different limits for each kid based on age. I can see what apps they're using, when, for how long. Some of my friends think I'm being overprotective but these are literal children with developing brains getting targeted by algorithms designed by adults to be addictive. I'm not sorry about it. We review the rules every 6 months and they understand why it's there.
