What parental control app actually works?

Tried a few and they either have so many workarounds or they're so strict my kids can't do their schoolwork. Currently using Apple Screen Time but my 10yo figured out how to request more time and I always say yes because I feel bad. Need something that actually restricts but isn't a pain to manage. Budget isn't really an issue. Recommendations?
