YouTube Kids is a lifesaver but am I relying on it too much?
Look I'm not gonna lie, when I need 20 minutes of peace to cook dinner or take a call, YouTube Kids is my go-to. My 4 year old is actually learning stuff from the educational channels and it's better than regular YouTube with all the weird content. But my mom keeps saying I'm raising him on screens. He still plays outside and with toys. Is there actually a problem if it's just during specific times? Asking for a concerned parent here.
The fact that you're asking the question means you're being thoughtful about it. Some screen time is totally okay, especially if it buys you sanity. Just make sure you're doing other stuff with him too. We aim for balance over perfection.
