Has anyone else had issues with YouTube Kids showing age-inappropriate videos even with restrictions turned all the way up? My 4yr old was watching what seemed like a normal cartoon and then this sketchy animation about some creepy character popped up. I thought the whole point of YouTube Kids was filtering this stuff out. Really frustrated right now.
YouTube Kids caught showing a video about 'five nights at freddy's' to my 4 year old last month. I thought the parental controls were supposed to prevent that stuff. Have you tried reporting the specific videos? YouTube is usually pretty quick about taking them down once flagged.

Have you checked what videos are showing up in the history? That's how I figured out what was slipping through the cracks. Then I blocked those entire channels.
This is exactly why I just stick with Disney+ and Netflix for my kids. The algorithm on YouTube Kids is just not trustworthy no matter what you set. Better safe than sorry in my opinion.

This has been my experience too. The algorithm finds weird loopholes no matter what restrictions you set. We ended up just limiting screen time to like 30 mins a day and being in the room while it's on. Takes more effort but honestly you can't trust the filters alone.
