Does anyone else watch what their kids are watching on YouTube Kids? I check the history like daily but I still get weird vibes from some of the recommended stuff. My 5yo watched something about slime that turned into an ad for some sketchy game. How closely do you monitor?
I do the same thing and my wife thinks I'm crazy but honestly the algorithm can be weird sometimes. Found my kid watching some video about a minecraft guy screaming at nothing for 20 minutes straight. Now I spot check maybe twice a week instead of daily because I was driving myself nuts.
YouTube Kids is definitely better than regular YouTube but yeah I still keep an eye on it. The restricted mode helps but some stuff still slips through. What kind of stuff are you seeing in the history that worries you the most?
I check maybe once a week and I've caught some questionable content even on YouTube Kids. There's definitely videos with weird vibes or content that seems off for kids even if it technically passes their filter. You're not being paranoid, you're being a parent.

Doing daily checks seems like a lot honestly. I found that setting time limits and using the parental controls takes away some of the anxiety. You're never going to catch everything anyway so at some point you gotta just trust the system a little bit.
