Caught myself being the opposite of what I preach

Got angry at my son for being disrespectful and then I went off on him in a way I'm not proud of. Later I realized I was being just as disrespectful back. Had to sit down with him and apologize and explain that I'm learning too. He actually responded way better to that honesty than if I'd just doubled down. Reminded me that my kids learn more from how I handle my failures than my wins.
