Decided to tithe even though money is tight and man am I stressed

Been a Christian for years but never actually committed to tithing. Wife and I talked about it and decided to start doing it. First month is done and yeah, we definitely feel the hit financially. But there's something different about it. Less worried somehow? Anyone else make this leap? Did it get easier?

That takes real courage and conviction. Money is always tight when you have kids but there's something that shifts when you actually commit to it instead of just thinking about it. Hope you feel some peace with the decision.

The stress is normal but it usually settles down once you get past the first few months. You're teaching your kids something bigger than money management here.

How are you planning to make it work with the budget? Like are you cutting back somewhere else or did you find some extra cash flow I'm not aware of? Asking because we've talked about tithing too.
