Family Bible time is actually working

We started doing 10 minutes of Bible reading with the kids before bed about 2 months ago. Not gonna lie, it felt forced at first and my oldest complained. But something shifted. Last week my 9 year old brought up a verse from Genesis unprompted during dinner and it was relevant to what we were talking about. My wife and I just looked at each other. These kids are actually absorbing Gods word. It's not just about the time invested, it's about showing them that Christ is central to our home. Feeling really grateful right now.

This is awesome to hear. My wife and I talk about doing something like this but we never actually commit to it. Ten minutes sounds actually doable. What books are you reading with them?

That's awesome man. We tried this about a year ago and it fell apart after a couple weeks. How did you stick with it? Did the kids actually engage or was it more of a routine thing at first?

This is the kind of stuff I want to be better about. Kids that grow up with that foundation handle life so much better I think. Curious how you got them to actually sit down for it without fighting?

That's really cool man. We try to do faith stuff with our kids but I'll be honest we're not always consistent. The fact that you've kept it going for 2 months already is a win. What kind of changes have you noticed in them?
