Finally had the sex talk with my son

Been putting this off for way too long but sat down with my 14 year old last weekend. Not gonna lie it was awkward as heck for both of us but I'm really glad we did it. I focused on how God designed it for marriage and that respecting women matters. He actually asked good questions instead of just shutting down. Felt like I was being the man and the leader my family needs. Still recovering from the awkwardness though lol.

Good on you for actually doing it. I've been putting it off with my oldest too and every time I think about it I get anxious. How did he react? Were there awkward silences?

I did this with my son at 13 and honestly it felt way less awkward than I expected. They already know way more than we think. Just be honest and answer his questions.

14 is actually a good age to have that conversation. Better earlier than later when they're already getting all their information from friends and the internet. Props for stepping up.
