Finally walked the walk instead of just talking it

I've been a Christian my whole life but realized I was basically just showing up to church on Sundays and not actually living it out. My kids started asking questions about why I get angry driving or why I talk about people at work the way I do if I say I believe what Jesus taught. That hit me hard. Been working on patience, kindness, and actually being the man I tell my kids to be. It's way harder than I thought but my oldest asked me yesterday why I seem happier. That's when I knew I'm on the right track. Anyone else struggle with closing the gap between what you say you believe and how you actually live?
