How do I teach my kids about faith when I'm still figuring it out?
My wife is super involved at church, kids go to Christian school, but I'll be honest - I struggle. I believe in God but I'm not always sure about the rest of it. I don't want to be a hypocrite teaching my kids stuff I'm not fully confident in. How do you guys handle this? Do I just keep going through the motions? I want them to have faith but I also want to be authentic with them.
Man, I think your honesty is actually the best thing you can offer them. My 8 year old asks me hard questions about stuff and I just tell her the truth - that faith is a journey and it's okay to question. Kids respect that way more than pretend certainty.
