How do I teach my kids about Jesus when I'm not living it?

Been trying to be a better example for my family spiritually but I keep falling short. I lose my temper at work stuff and bring it home. I skip my prayer time. I'm on my phone during family dinner. My 7 year old asked me yesterday why he has to be kind to people if I yell at the guy on the phone. That hit hard. I don't want to be a hypocrite father. How do you guys balance being real with your kids about your struggles while still being the spiritual leader they need?

The fact that you're thinking about this and feeling convicted about it means something. Just keep showing up and trying, that's honest and that's what kids actually need to see.

You're already doing it by trying, dude. My kids see me mess up and apologize way more than they see me get it right, but that's the real lesson anyway.
