How do I teach my kids Christian values when the world is pulling them the other way?
My 13 year old is getting into stuff I don't want him around - social media influencers who don't share our values, friends from school who are pushing him to do things against what we've taught him. I can't control his world and I know that's normal but it's hard knowing he's being exposed to so much that contradicts our faith. We talk about it and I try to lead by example but I feel like I'm losing the battle sometimes. How do other dads handle the teen years when the culture is so against Christian values?
I feel this one. My oldest is 15 and yeah, the world is pulling hard. What helped us was actually having real conversations instead of just shutting things down. He needs to know you trust his judgment, even when you're worried about his choices.
