How do you actually pray with your kids?

I want to make prayer a bigger part of our family life but it feels awkward. Do you do it at meals? Before bed? I tried starting it and my kids just got silly. My wife is better at this stuff than me. I want them to know God but I feel like I'm just going through the motions sometimes. What actually works in your house?
