How do you handle it when your kids question their faith?
My oldest is 15 and started asking really hard questions about God, the Bible, why he should believe in Christianity when his friends believe different things. Part of me wanted to shut it down and just say "this is what we believe as a family" but I realized that's not how faith works. We've been having real conversations about doubt and faith, and I'm trying to be the kind of dad who creates space for him to work through this rather than just giving him answers. I don't have all the answers myself honestly but we're figuring it out together.
This is the best thing actually. At 15 he's supposed to be asking those questions. We've had tons of conversations with our kids about doubts and faith - it's way healthier than just shutting it down. Have you guys talked about what specifically he's wrestling with?
