How do you talk to teens about purity?

My oldest is 14 now and I know I can't keep my head in the sand about this stuff anymore. I want to talk to him about sexual purity and why it matters from a Biblical perspective, not just from a "don't get a girl pregnant" angle. But honestly I'm nervous about it. Any of you guys had this conversation? How did you approach it? I'm praying about this one.

14 is a tough age to bring this up but you're smart to do it now. Start the conversation and let them know you're available to talk about it without judgment. That's half the battle right there.

Good on you for not avoiding it. Fourteen feels early but also not early anymore. The world is definitely talking to them about it so we need to be in the conversation too.
