How do you teach kids to actually live out their faith at school?
My son came home yesterday and said a kid at school was making fun of another kid for being poor. He didn't stand up for the kid and I could tell he felt bad about it. We talked about loving your neighbor and standing up for what's right, but I'm wondering how to actually prepare him to do these things in the moment. It's one thing to talk about being a light for Christ at home, but how do we equip our kids to actually live it out when we're not there? Any thoughts from guys who've dealt with this?
That's a tough situation but the fact that your son even noticed it means you've already taught him something about empathy. How did you respond when he told you? I think just acknowledging that what he saw wasn't right is huge.
