Leading by example when you mess up

Lost my temper with my kids yesterday over something stupid. Yelled at them for not listening when really I wasn't being clear. Felt terrible about it all evening. This morning I called them in and apologized, told them I was wrong, and asked them to forgive me. My son said 'it's ok dad' but I wanted him to understand that just because I'm the parent doesn't mean I'm perfect. We all need Jesus. I think sometimes kids need to see that more than they need to see us getting everything right. Hope that lesson sticks with them.
