Leading by example with honesty

Caught myself about to lie to my kids today about something small and just stopped. Told them the truth instead even though it made me look bad. Realized they're watching everything I do way more than they listen to what I say. If I want them to walk in integrity I actually have to do it myself. It's harder than I thought but feels important.

This right here. Teaching them honesty means being honest yourself, even when it's uncomfortable. That's the kind of example that sticks with them.

That takes real strength, man. My kids respect me way more when I'm honest with them about my mistakes than when I try to look perfect. You're setting them up to do the same.
