Leading by example with phone time
Been really convicted lately about how much I'm on my phone when the kids are home. How can I expect them to put their devices down if I'm scrolling during dinner? Started leaving my phone in the other room during family time. My teenager even asked what was up and I told him the truth. Now we're all doing it together. Walking the walk is way harder than talking the talk but it's the only thing that actually works with kids.
Real talk, kids see right through it. I started setting phone times just like screen time for them and it's made a huge difference in our evenings together.
